J.K. Rowling

Joanne Rowling is a British novelist author of the Harry Potter series. She is also the author of three novels for adult readers, two under the pen name of Robert Galbraith.

The Harry Potter series is the best-selling book series in history, and also inspired a series of films which became the highest-grossing film series in history. J.K. Rowling supervised the movies and was the producer on the final instalment.

J.K. Rowling founded the Children’s High Level Group in 2005, now Lumos, an international non-governmental charity organisation dedicated to helping to transform the lives of up to eight million disadvantaged children who live in institutions and so-called orphanages around the world. J.K. Rowling is its current President.
