Bloomsbury has confirmed to us that the Illustrated Edition of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, with artwork by the great Jim Kay, will be published on October 11th, 2022. Both editions, the regular edition and the deluxe edition, will be published on the same day. Bloomsbury will share more news about the fifth book in the illustrated series very soon.
Jim Kay illustrated the first four books in the Harry Potter series so far, with Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone being published back in 2015. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets was published in 2016, and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban in 2017. The fourth one, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, was published in 2019.
In 2021, Bloomsbury and Scholastic published Harry Potter: A Magical Year, a gift book celebrating the art of Jim Kay, including 366 illustrations that Kay did for the first four books, including never seen before sketches and more.
