Fantastic Beasts – Secrets of Dumbledore Trailer: What’s the bright spell cast by Credence?

It is one of the scenes in the trailer that it is hard to relate with any of the others. We see Credence alongside two people (one of them seems to be Vinda Rosier, a Grindelwald’s acolyte) casting or breaking a bright spell. What is he actually doing?

If you look carefully, the white bright charm seems to take the form of a phoenix (more on this later). Could he be fighting against the phoenix we see at the end of Crimes of Grindelwald? In the next bit, when we see Credence’s face, the effect is similar to the one we see in Deathly Hallows – Part 2, when the charm that protects Hogwarts starts to decay. Is he then breaking a protective charm? And if so, what could it be protecting?

The setting we see looks like an outdoors natural scenery at night, which matches what we see of Newt at the beginning of the trailer. Could it be possible that Credence is going after Newt, and in that part that the trailer shows, Credence and his colleagues are breaking the protection that was put in place by the mazoologist?

The white bright spell that looks like a phoenix also resembles the one that appears with the movie title. Could that spell be important in the overall plot of the film, or is it just another charm throughout the movie?
