A new edition of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them with a new foreword by Newt Scamander and six new creatures has been published by Bloomsbury today in the United Kingdom – and by Scholastic in the United States. However, the British publication house also announced a new edition to be released in November.
In the same way that Bloomsbury is doing with the Harry Potter novels, it will publish an illustrated edition for the companion book Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them. The creatures will be illustrated in full colour by the Greenaway Medal shortlisted Olivia Lomenech Gill.
This new book will be published a month later than the Illustrated edition of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and as the rest of the books in this series it will come in two versions: the regular version (£25) and the deluxe version (£12o). Scholastic did not say anything about this yet – so maybe we will not see an illustrated american edition soon.
This new edition of Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them would be the fourth one published in the Muggle World. It would add to the first book published in 2001, the new edition published today and the original screenplay.
