As we told you previously, the illustrated edition of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is going to be published in the United Kingdom and the United States of America on October 4th. The book will have 272 pages, and will be illustrated by Jim Kay again.

Until now, we only saw a preview in a video released by the publisher Bloomsbury where the artist, Jim Kay, was working on the second installment of the series. However, today The Rowling Library shows you the first image of the illustrated Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets:

The illustration shows a spider – an important insect in the plot of the book. Notice that the spider has a skull in its abdomen. What do you think of this new artwork?
