J.K. Rowling announced today the launch of Lumos USA, a branch of her non-profit Lumos who already operated in the United Kingdom, specially with kids from Eastern Europe. The launch had place on the Empire State Building in New York City, in the United States, where J.K. Rowling gave an speech and later lit up the iconic Empire State Building with the colors of the non-profit. She also published an article on her website, and a sweepstakes with signed copies of Very Good Lives has also been announced.
